CPD Webinar - Bird Collision Avoidance for Sustainable Buildings（只提供英文版）

This webinar is organised by the Hong Kong Green Building Council.
Bird collision avoidance has become a crucial topic in North America and Europe, with laws mandating bird-safe glazing. BEAM Plus New Buildings Version 2.0 also addresses this issue in its Wildlife-friendly building features section. The Hong Kong Bird Watching Society’s reports in 2023 and 2024 highlighted significant bird collision issues, urging developers to adopt bird-safe glass. Bird safe glass prevents birds from fatal collisions by reducing reflections that mimic open space. With alarming statistics of bird fatalities, it is vital to implement such measures to protect avian wildlife and promote sustainable building practices.
