CPD Webinar - Green Buildings - Pathways to Carbon Neutrality: Regional Perspectives from Malaysia and Hong Kong（只提供英文版）

This webinar is jointly organised by MalaysiaGBC and HKGBC.


Sustainability is an important global topic and many countries are striving to achieve net zero by 2050. ASEAN nations are one of the world’s regions that are most affected by climate change. Same as Hong Kong, Malaysia aims to achieve net-zero greenhouse gas emissions by 2050. In this webinar, representatives from the two regions would share with the audience the following topics -

From Malaysia’s perspective:

  • Energy efficiency and conservation legislation of Malaysia
  • Malaysia GBC Carbon Score, an assessment protocol designed to measure carbon footprint of Malaysian buildings
  • Green financial incentives of Malaysia such as tax incentive and tax allowance

From Hong Kong’s perspective:

  • Local policies, legislation and green building rating tool
  • Advancing net zero initiatives 
  • Finance aspects such as green taxonomy, sustainable finance certification and accelerated tax deduction
