Supported by the Hong Kong Green Building Council, the BEC EnviroSeries Conference titled “Stock-taking Hong Kong’s Climate Action: Business Progress, Barriers and Accelerators” is to be held on 30 May 2024 at Cordis Hotel in a hybrid format.

Organised by the Business Environment Council (BEC) and built upon the Paris Agreement's Global Stocktake process, this conference in Hong Kong aims to assess the progress of local climate action and drive further ambition. Following the first Global Stocktake at COP28, this event would focus on both the government's Climate Action Plan 2050 and corporate initiatives like the Corporate Climate Stocktake 2023.

Key objectives of this conference include:

• Evaluate the progress of Hong Kong’s climate action in strategic areas through stock-taking;
• Showcase and learn from successful decarbonisation cases in different business sectors;  
• Understand the barriers hindering climate action and how we can overcome them to accelerate progress.
