CPD Webinar - Navigating the Global Landscape of Embodied Carbon: Challenges, Opportunities and Best Practices (只供英文版)

The webinar recording will be available at HKGBC CPD Online Training Portal (https://onlinecpdtraining.hkgbc.org.hk/) later after the event.

This webinar is organised by the Hong Kong Green Building Council.

As the trend towards decarbonisation accelerates and Whole Lifecycle Carbon (WLC) assessment evolves, different benchmarks have been established across the world. While most methodologies adhere to EN 15978, various regional scopes have been defined. In this talk, the speaker will explore the global landscape related to embodied carbon, including guidelines and policies, and delve into a comprehensive understanding of the breadth and depth of WLC assessment, with a particular focus on embodied carbon. She will also address several challenges, especially for companies with multinational assets, and provide recommendations to overcome these obstacles. By sharing successful case studies, the speaker will discuss how to identify gaps in the current approach and establish more appropriate targets and guidelines for corporations to reduce their embodied carbon.

This talk will be beneficial for practitioners looking to deepen their understanding of embodied carbon and corporate staff interested in setting up their own guidelines and targets.
