Supported by the Hong Kong Green Building Council, the open competition "Sustainable Tourism for Tomorrow - Tsim Bei Tsui Challenge" opens for registration until 30 October 2026.

Organised by The Environmental Management Association of Hong Kong Limited (EMAHK), this competition is an exciting platform for showcasing innovative ideas in sustainable tourism and ecological preservation. This challenge not only empowers participants to contribute creatively to a greener future but also aligns with Hong Kong’s Five-Year Plan, which emphasises:

• Advancing low-carbon innovation and development
• Strengthening biodiversity conservation
• Promoting community-driven, eco-positive initiatives

The challenge offers an opportunity to design visionary tourism models for Tsim Bei Tsui, an area rich in biodiversity and cultural heritage, with a focus on projects that:

• Preserve local natural beauty, including its ecological wetland
• Celebrate cultural traditions, such as oyster farming
• Deliver long-term social and environmental impact

A Sharing Session on "Sustaining Success – Guiding Viable & Responsible Tourism Experiences" would be held on 21 Oct 2026 (Wed).
