Schneider Electric Innovation Summit Hong Kong 2025 Achieves Carbon Neutrality Verification（只提供英文版）



 
Schneider Electric is proud to share that Innovation Summit Hong Kong 2025, of which the HKGBC was a Strategic Partner, has been verified as a carbon-neutral event in accordance with ISO 14068-1 “Climate Change Management – Transition to Net Zero – Part 1: Carbon Neutrality”!

Carbon emissions associated with the event were quantified following the requirements of ISO 14067 “Greenhouse Gases – Carbon Footprint of Products”, with all results independently verified by SGS in Hong Kong. 

 

 

Led by the Schneider Electric Hong Kong Marketing Communications, Strategy & Sustainability, and SE Advisory Services teams, the journey included: 
 
  1. Measure: Conducted comprehensive lifecycle carbon accounting from planning and on-site operations to post-event activities
  2. Reduce: Executed targeted GHG reduction measures across venue operations, catering, materials, transportation and waste, prioritising responsible resource use and low-impact operational choices
  3. Offset: Addressed all unabated and residual emissions with high-integrity, Verified Carbon Standard credits through the Bokhol Solar Project in Senegal in collaboration with SE Advisory Services
  4. Verify: Completed independent third‑party verification by SGS in Hong Kong, underpinned by short and long-term commitments to continuous improvement 

This recognition reflects the Company’s ongoing commitment to managing environmental impacts through internationally recognised standards, transparent methodologies and independent third-party assurance. 

Through a data-driven approach to measurement, reduction and mitigation, Schneider Electric will continue to strengthen its commitment to low-impact events, while bringing its customers and partners along through shared practices and insights.
