The Hong Kong Green Building Week (HKGBW) 2025, jointly organised by the Construction Industry Council (CIC) and the Hong Kong Green Building Council (HKGBC), closely echoes the momentum of the 15th National Games. Under the theme “Green Building Get Set GOAL · Race to Carbon Neutrality”, the campaign invites the public to embark on an engaging journey to explore Hong Kong’s green buildings with Captain Green Building and his new buddies – GB Friends. Through learning about innovative green building technologies and appreciating local green buildings, the campaign aims to help the public gain a better understanding of the importance and benefits of green buildings.
The campaign featured a wide variety of activities. In addition to the signature programme “Biz-Green Dress Day” held on 3 Sep, and the three-day “Let’s GOAL! Green Building Fair”, it also offered multiple opportunities for the public to explore green buildings firsthand. These included the "Let’s GOAL! Green Transport X Building Tour" and "Let’s GOAL! Green Building Guided Tour", which returned with great popularity. These activities promoted green building and healthy living in a fun and educational way, while encouraging collective efforts towards sustainable development and the race to carbon neutrality!
