[Press Release] Hong Kong Green Building Council: “My Green Space” Student Competition 2022-23 Award Presentation Ceremony Celebrates Students’ Outstanding Work to Achieve Carbon Neutrality

The “My Green Space” Student Competition 2022-23 Award Presentation Ceremony organised by Hong Kong Green Building Council was successfully held at Citywalk last Saturday. Over 110 guests witnessed the birth of over 30 outstanding works from students.
HONG KONG, 28 August 2023 – The “My Green Space” Student Competition 2022-23 Award, organised by the Hong Kong Green Building Council and solely sponsored by Sino Group, concluded with a successful Award Presentation Ceremony on 26 August 2023. Mr Ben HUNG, Acting Principal Education Officer (Curriculum Development), Education Bureau, The Government of the HKSAR was the Guest of Honour at the Ceremony. Dr CHEUNG Tin-cheung, SBS, Chairman of Hong Kong Green Building Council, Ms Melanie KWOK, Assistant General Manager (Sustainability), Sino Group, the Competition Task Force Members and Judging Panel Members were also in attendance to honour the winners, which included more than 30 outstanding works from primary to tertiary divisions. Certificates and awards were presented to a total of 100 students from primary schools, secondary schools and tertiary colleges.
Themed “Striving towards Carbon Neutrality – Net Zero Built Environment”, this year’s competition attracted more than 100 teams from 60 schools, with some 270 students participating. In addition to the support of a number of organisations, we were honoured to have Sino Group as the sole sponsor of this year’s competition. This annual contest is designed to help students learn about green buildings from an early age, stimulate their creativity, and jointly build a greener life by imagining ideal green spaces.
Over 30 outstanding exhibiting entries from 5 Divisions in a wide range of formats, including 2D entries, 3D models, multimedia and proposals etc.
To encourage the public to further understand the concept of green buildings, the "My Green Space" Student Competition 2022-2023 Exhibition is being held at Citywalk, Tsuen Wan from now until 3 September, exhibiting over 30 works by the students on the themes of a Net Zero Built Environment. Everyone is cordially invited to explore how these students interpreted the theme to create imaginative green spaces. Learn how they employed comprehensive master planning, design, features, facilities, and carbon reduction strategies to envision exciting new low-carbon built environments!
