Thanks to unwavering support from the industry, the Green Building Award (GBA) 2025 has received an impressive 122 nominations, which is an especially encouraging number in these challenging times. 

Following a rigorous selection process, we are delighted to announce that 99 outstanding entries have been shortlisted as Finalists and will advance to the final round of the Award! We can't wait to see them showcase their fabulous achievements during the Final Judging on 6-7 September 2025. The Final Judging will be conducted by a diverse and independent Jury Panel, comprising renowned professionals from the government, industry associations, and academic institutions in Hong Kong and overseas. The final results will be announced at the Award Presentation Dinner on 13 November 2025.

About the Award 
The biennial Green Building Award has been jointly organised by the Hong Kong Green Building Council (HKGBC) and the Professional Green Building Council (PGBC) since 2010, and was inaugurated by the PGBC in 2006. 

Taking the theme of "Towards Carbon Neutrality • Excellence in Sustainable Built Environment", GBA 2025 covers five categories: New Buildings (NB), Existing Buildings (EB), Research & Planning (RP), Building Products & Technologies (BPT), and Green Building Leadership (GBL). Industry practitioners are invited to nominate outstanding projects and organisations across all these categories.

The highly anticipated mega public campaign "Hong Kong Green Building Week" returns this September!

Hong Kong Green Building Week (HKGBW) 2025, jointly organised by the Construction Industry Council (CIC) and the Hong Kong Green Building Council (HKGBC), will take place from 19 to 28 September. This year's theme, "Green Building Get Set GOAL · Race to Carbon Neutrality", aims to engage the public in the green building movement with an exciting lineup of activities. Echoing the momentum of the 15th National Games, four Hong Kong athletes unite as Green Building Ambassadors to spark a citywide effort in the race towards carbon neutrality.
 

HKGBW 2025 will feature a variety of activities, with the first being Biz-Green Dress Day on 3 September (Wed). This event aims to encourage the business community to adopt light, stylish and professional attire at work, while promoting a greener and low-carbon workplace.

As part of this initiative, we cordially invite all companies and organisations to participate in the "Let's GOAL! Biz-Green Outfits Social Media Challenge" from today to 4 September (12:00 noon) and share their work attire inspired by the four Biz-Green colours on social media. Four categories of awards will be presented to winning companies and organisations, who will be invited to attend the Kick-Off Ceremony of HKGBW 2025. Photos of the awarded companies will also be featured in our Biz-Green Dress Day 2025 Highlight Video. Join the social media challenge and help drive behavioural change!
