Supported by the Hong Kong Green Building Council, the HKIE Environmental Division Annual Forum 2024 would be held in Hong Kong on 18 April 2024 (Thursday).

Organised by the Hong Kong Institution of Engineers (HKIE), the Forum is themed "Driving New Metropolis in GBA Towards Climate Resilience and Sustainability". The Forum aims to discuss and share knowledge, insight, expertise and experiences on essential elements and considerations for developing new metropolis in GBA to achieve climate resilience and sustainability. It would focus on engineering challenges and innovation opportunities in four sessions: 

• Smart Town Planning in New Developing Areas - in Terms of Sustainability and Environmental Excellence; 
• Climate Resilience Approach for Development of New Metropolis in GBA; 
• ESG Driven New Technologies and Innovations for Environmental Excellence and Climate Resilience; 
• Scaling Up Green Financing to Accelerate Carbon Neutrality.
