Workshop Overview
This interactive workshop will equip participants with practical solutions to achieve energy efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and sustainability while navigating unique constraints like 24/7 operations, longevity, durability, and minimal maintenance needs. No matter what nature of venues users are dealing with, such as airports, stations, museums, libraries, or other public hubs, this CPD event will provide practical solutions and expert insights. Participants will be able to watch some physical demonstrations of relevant lighting technologies.

Speaker:
Mr Luis BARAHONA, Technical Manager & Head of Lighting Design, ERCO Asia Pacific and the Middle East headquarters, Singapore
ERCO is one of the leading international specialist companies in efficient architectural lighting with LED technology. Mr BARAHONA holds a bachelor’s degree in architecture from the University of Mainz, Germany. With extensive knowledge in architectural lighting, he is often invited as a guest of keynote speaker at conferences and seminars, as well as lighting workshops throughout the regions. Prior to Mr BARAHONA’s career at ERCO, he has been working as an architect in Berlin for more than 14 years. After joining ERCO in Germany in 2001, he started as an Erasmus Trainer for Central Europe, advising on lighting design solutions for specific projects in Asia Pacific and Middle East. In October 2006, Mr BARAHONA moved to Singapore to spearhead the launch of the regional headquarters for the Asia Pacific and the Middle East. As a firm believer that education is key, he is also an occasional guest lecturer in many of the design schools in the regions to expand the understanding and importance of lighting design.

- No Show / Cancellation – Cancellation must be made by email to eventregis@hkgbc.org.hk with justification on or before 22 March 2024, 12:00 noon. Please quote your registration number in the email. There is NO refund on absence from the event and cancellation made after the deadline.
- Please be punctual. Latecomers will NOT be picked up and will NOT be allowed to join the event.
- The event will be cancelled when the Typhoon Signal No.8 or above, or Black Rainstorm Signal or Extreme Conditions is hoisted at 12:00 noon.
- Certificate of attendance will be issued by email around a week after the event.
- Participants should note that neither HKGBC nor the parties concerned would accept liability in connection with this event.
