Environmental Forum on Climate Change Framework For Built Environment
The Climate Change Framework For Built Environment is developed by the Hong Kong Green Building Council in 2023 to serve as a tool to achieve carbon neutrality and climate risk management in buildings. It sets out the definitions related to carbon neutrality, calculation methods of energy and carbon based on the definitions, benchmarking schemes and reference data for managing climate risks.
Jointly organised by the Hong Kong Green Building Council (HKGBC) and Hong Kong Metropolitan University (HKMU), the seventh edition of the Environmental Forum will explain the Framework in terms of embodied carbon, operational carbon, climate risk assessment, disclosure and management. A panel discussion is arranged at the end of the Forum, in which experts from different background are invited to explore the future of zero-carbon-ready building from different perspectives.
