This event is organised by the Hong Kong Green Building Council.

This visit is targeted at personnel working in developers or consultancy fields who wish to explore Modular Integrated Construction (MiC) techniques in their projects.

The 36-classroom primary school at Tai Po Area 9 is the first primary school building in Hong Kong adopting full MiC technique for the classrooms, typical lavatories for students, typical electrical rooms and pantry. In general, each classroom is sub-divided into four volumetric units prefabricated with RC elements and completed with architectural finishes, fixtures and building services in factory. The total number of MiC modules is approximately 181. The installation of MiC classrooms is targeted to be completed by around late February 2023. In the CIC MiC Achievement Ceremony 2022, this project received an Outstanding MiC Award. The experience of MiC design and implementation will be a good example for the forthcoming MiC school projects.
