Environmental Forum on Green Construction Materials
This event is co-organised by the Hong Kong Green Building Council (HKGBC) and Hong Kong Metropolitan University (HKMU).
The embodied carbon in construction materials can contribute up to 50% carbon footprint of a building. Therefore the strategic adoption of green construction materials could definitely improve the sustainability performance of buildings by reducing resources consumption and carbon footprint, as well as boosting occupant’s health and wellbeing.
Jointly organised by the HKGBC and HKMU, the sixth edition of the Environmental Forum will unveil the latest development on green construction materials. An overview on CIC Green Product Certification will be delivered to encourage the implementation of green procurement for the industry. Two distinguished product suppliers will also share their cases on low carbon construction materials with the views of bringing positive impacts to the environment and the wellbeing of the users.
