Prof. LEE Shun-cheng from Hong Kong Polytechnic University together with scientists and engineers from Dyson Professional would share their expertise to the audience on Indoor Air Quality and how technology helps enhance the hygiene level of indoor spaces and continuous to protect the people in a more sustainable way.

Mr Paul GREGORYGlobal Specification & Training Director for Dyson Professional/ Member Chartered Institute of Building Services Engineers – MCIBSE

Paul is the Global Specification & Training Director for Dyson Professional and is responsible for the global specification channel & training for Dyson professional solutions. Paul is a trained lighting designer and has spent over 25 years in senior specification sales roles for the likes of Concord, Wila and more recently held specification director positions at Eaton Cooper and Sylvania. Paul has worked on some of the world’s most prestigious buildings such as the Shard - London and Yas Island Marina - Abu Dhabi. Paul is an active member of both the chartered institute of building services engineers CIBSE and the society of light & lighting SLL, regularly contributing to debates and white papers on lighting technology and metrics.


Prof. LEE Shun-cheng, Professor and Associate Head (Partnership), The Hong Kong Polytechnic University

Prof. LEE is the Associate Head (Partnership), Odour-Lab-In-Charge, and a professor at the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering of The Hong Kong Polytechnic University. He received his honour Bachelor degree in Chemical Engineering and his Master degree in Environmental Engineering from the National Taiwan University. He obtained his Ph.D. in Environmental Sciences from the University of California, Berkeley. Prof. LEE's research interest lies in indoor/outdoor air pollution, air pollution control, emission inventory, vehicular emissions and source profiles, and air quality monitoring and measurement in transportation systems and roadside environment. Prof. LEE has published over 320 highly cited journal papers, 54 conference papers. Prof. LEE has been in the capacity of more than 48 research projects and awarded more than 160 consultancy projects. From 2018 to 2020, Prof. LEE was granted as the Highly Cited Researcher (Cross-Field) by Clarivate Analytics Web of Science for three consecutive years. Prof. LEE is also listed as one of the top global 2% scientists, identifying as one of the top scholars of the world whose publications are frequently cited by others.


Mr Bryan LIM, Design Lead in Environmental Control, Lighting & Professional category, Dyson

Bryan is a Design Lead in Environmental Control, Lighting & Professional category in Dyson - a global consumer electronics and technology company who’s focus is on solving the problems others ignore. Bryan has been with the R&D environment with more than 15 years, specializing in mechanical and product development throughout product life cycle. Key role including accountability for delivery of Product to the Key Claims and specifications within set timeplan and cost. Graduated from Malaysia University of Technology with a bachelor’s degree in engineering since 1999.


Dr Salomé GIÃOSenior Claims and Performance Manager, Dyson/ PhD in Chemical and Biological Engineering/ Microbiology

Salomé is a scientist at Dyson working in Airblade category ensuring all performance and scientific claims are accurate and substantiated before being launched. During the development of the latest Airblade machine, 9kJ, she worked with the different teams, from Engineering to commercial and legal, to ensure all the data was adequate to substantiate the performance claims. She also works with different teams giving scientific advice on several topics including microbiology and hands hygiene. She supports the development of educational and scientific claims and is responsible for doing literature research to gather information to support projects in different areas.

Salomé has a PhD in Chemical and Biological Engineering/Microbiology from the University of Minho (Portugal) and worked as research fellow at the University of Southampton (UK) for several years. She joined Dyson in 2015 as a research scientist in microbiology before moving to claims in 2017.
