Supported by the Hong Kong Green Building Council, the Construction Manager of the Year Awards (CMYA) Hong Kong 2020 is now open for nomination until 26 February 2021 (Friday).

The Construction Manager of the Year Awards Hong Kong is an event organised by the The Chartered Institute of Building (Hong Kong) (CIOB (HK)). It is a prominent biennial event for the construction professions to demonstrate their highest standards of Construction Management. The awards are for people, and to recognise and commend the winning managers their individual distinguished management achievements, as well as outstanding performance in their responsible construction projects.

Through the CMYA keen competition, awards are presented to the winners to honour their individual distinguished management achievements, and promote professional construction management which demands the best practice including sound strategic planning, quality decision making, excellent inter-personal skills and good team building. These are also the key attributes that make the awards distinctive and valuable to the winners. Furthermore, the awards have been well recognised by the construction industry over the years for promoting excellence in construction management. The employers, as well as the clients are also honoured to have recruited the best talents who demonstrate professional construction management in managing their individual projects. 

The Judge Panel for this biennial event include Legislative Council Members, senior government officials and senior representatives of semi-government and construction related organisations, representatives of professional institutes and academia of universities. They will assess the relevant management issues and challenges encountered in the projects, and in particular the management skills and abilities deployed by the managers to overcome the hurdles.
