Swire Properties is delighted to have obtained the top position globally in the Dow Jones Sustainability World Index (DJSI World) 2024 in the Real Estate Management & Development Industry category, rising from second place last year. 

Thanks to this recognition by DJSI World, the Company has achieved its Sustainable Development 2030 Vision, established in 2016, of becoming a global leader in sustainability performance in the real estate industry. Swire Properties has realised its vision six years ahead of its target milestone in 2030. This accomplishment reflects the effectiveness of the Company’s SD 2030 Strategy and the successful integration of sustainability into every facet of its business.

Swire Properties has been a DJSI World constituent company for eight consecutive years since 2017. The Dow Jones Sustainability World Index comprises global sustainability leaders, as identified by S&P Global through the Corporate Sustainability Assessment (CSA). It represents the top 10% of the largest 2,500 companies in the S&P Global Broad Market Index (BMI) - based on long-term economic, environmental and social criteria.

Global Real Estate Sustainability Benchmark (GRESB) 2024: 
Global Sector Leader – Listed (Mixed Use) for the eighth consecutive year;

S&P Sustainability Yearbook (China): included for the second consecutive year; the only company to reach the Top 1% S&P Global ESG Score (China), in the Real Estate Management and Development industry;

Hang Seng Corporate Sustainability Index (HSSUS): ranked No. 1 for the seventh year in a row; maintained the highest “AAA” rating;

Taikoo Place: 
LEED v4.1 for Communities: Existing: the first and only project in the Greater Bay Area to achieve Platinum certification (as of Nov 2024);
RICS Hong Kong Awards 2024: Environmental Impact Award – a testament to the Company’s pioneering placemaking efforts that extend beyond individual buildings;
