WSP Releases Its 2023 Global ESG Report: “Together We Innovate”



 
WSP has recently published its 2023 Global ESG Report, underscoring its steadfast commitment to building a more equitable, inclusive and net zero world for the communities to thrive. Taking the theme of “Together We Innovate”, the Report details WSP’s ambitious short-and long-term ESG goals, concrete actions and progress in driving positive change and embracing the challenge of creating a resilient and prosperous future for all. WSP’s accomplishment in sustainability and innovation is highlighted as follows:

Environmental
  • 63.4% SDG-Linked Revenues, as a percentage of gross annualised revenues contributing to UNSDGs
  • 21% reduction in total scope 1, 2 (market-based) and 3 greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions, compared to 2018
  • 13.8% decrease in total rentable square footage due for renewal in 2023
Social
  • 76% global leadership positions filled internally
  • >1% year-over-year increase in global average employee retention rate
  • 9.1% year-over-year decrease in Total Recordable Incident Rate (TRIR)
Governance
  • Conducted its 1st double materiality assessment to evaluate the relative financial and impact importance of ESG topics
  • Received 1st placements on both “Dow Jones Sustainability North America Index” and “Corporate Knights’ 2024 Global 100 Most Sustainable Corporations in the World”
  • Enhanced client project due diligence process covering ESG risk
