Workspace Wellness with AET Flexible Space System

AET Flexible Space System (FSS) is an innovative approach for intelligent and sustainable building development, meeting the changing demand of modern commercial workspace. FSS consists of the Underfloor Air Conditioning System (UFAC), Raised Floor System, Cable Management System and Demountable Partition. UFAC makes good use of the plenum beneath a Raised Access Floor as a technical and ventilation zone, which eliminates the need and space for traditional ceiling-based services including pipeworks and ductworks. The installation work and following maintenance are relatively flexible, economical and easy to adapt for tenants during fitting out and future changes of use.
AET UFAC has been well known to contribute to a tranquil and stress-free workspace through improved air quality, personalised comfort, noise reduction, thermal comfort, aesthetics and space flexibility and zoning capabilities. For example, for Underfloor Air Conditioning System, each floor is divided into 8 zones, and a Condition Air Module (CAM) is responsible for ventilation in a particular zone. Fan assisted units (TUs) bring the conditioned air from the floor void into the workspace. Independent CAM operation ensures the effective sucking of dust and air in a particular zone from the return air grille at floor level, and eventually return to CAM. Also, a faster air exchange and filtration can be achieved by 10 times compared with traditional AHU/ fancoil units. Since fancoil units or other VAV systems need to cool up the whole workspace from ceiling to floor level, while TUs located at floor level bring the conditioned air up to 2.0m only. The system provides improved air quality by delivering fresh, filtered air directly to the occupied zone. This helps reduce the presence of airborne pollutants, creating a healthier environment for office occupants.
