Incorporated with innovative structural design, the WSP-engineered InnoCell project has won the top honour of Quality Excellence Award, as well as Grand Award in Hong Kong Residential (Single Building) category, realising the first MiC steel module building in Hong Kong.

Recognised as a pioneer for multi-storey MiC projects in Hong Kong, WSP designed robust MiC steel modules for the building to secure lateral stability and save construction and transportation costs. To effectively reduce the complexity of site installation, WSP standardised the module size with over 70% of typical structures modularised by prefabrication. By adopting MiC approach, the company shortened the overall construction programme by 40%, reduced construction wastage on site as well as achieved better quality with cost-effectiveness and in a safe site environment.

WSP also won Grand Award for its involvement in Fire Services Department Pak Shing Kok Married Quarters in Hong Kong Residential (Multiple Buildings) category.
