The presence of AEC Group in Asia Pacific has started in Thailand and Singapore in 2020, and now the strategic hub in Malaysia and Zhuhai. AEC Group endeavours to expand its project portfolio across Southeast Asia riding on the Belt and Road Initiative, as well as from the Greater Bay Area to the other parts of Mainland China. Further to AEC Group’s business expansion geographically, AEC Group has recently stepped up its efforts to accelerate the real estate decarbonisation journey in the Asia Pacific by partnering with Carbon Risk Real Estate Monitor (CRREM), the global industry standard for in-use decarbonisation. As the first partner of CRREM in Hong Kong and Mainland China, AEC Group strives to support companies of all sizes in their decarbonisation journey using the updated CRREM-SBTi aligned pathway.

Ms Grace KWOK, the Chairman and Executive Director of AEC Group, expresses her forward-looking points of view about this partnership: "AEC is honoured to be the first sustainability and environmental consulting firm to collaborate with Carbon Risk Real Estate Monitor (CRREM) and provide CRREM-aligned transition risk assessment to analyse the stranding risk for real estate portfolios in Hong Kong and Mainland China. With the updated CRREM-SBTi aligned decarbonisation pathways for Residential and Commercial Real Estate, we help our clients to better navigate the net zero transition, with practicable decarbonisation strategies and with due consideration of time and cost, to ensure the transition is on track with the required carbon reduction progress to achieve the 1.5 degree pathway.”
