NG Kim-wai is currently a Chief Town Planner in the Planning Department, The Government of the HKSAR. He is currently responsible for the studies related to the proposed 1, 000-hectare Kau Yi Chau Artificial Islands in the Central Waters, a strategic development area for the future generations Hong Kong with a new CBD.
Mr Ng has a long working experience in the public sector. His experience covers strategic planning and various planning studies. He oversaw the Hong Kong 2030+: Towards a Planning Vision and Strategy Transcending 2030, the Reimagining Public Spaces in Hong Kong, the Study on Active Design for Healthier Lifestyle and the Review of Land Requirement for Market-driven Economic Uses. He was also in charge of the 2009 and 2014 Area Assessments of Industrial Land in the Territory, the development of Anderson Road Quarry site, and the conservation and revitalisation of Murray Building.
