Educating the younger generation on the importance of green building is one of the prioritised tasks for the HKGBC. The HKGBC therefore developed the ECF Green Building Education Video Series project with the funding support from the Environmental and Conservation Fund. The project targets the P4-S6 students in Hong Kong with the aims to raise students’ awareness on green building concepts, deepen their knowledge on the relationship between green building and environmental issue, and drive environmentally responsible behavioural change in youth.
Education Videos
8 videos have been launched featuring two Green Building Key Opinion Leaders (KOL), Green Building Buddy and Green Sleeves as the main characters, to bring out the global issue of climate change in a lively and interesting approach. Take a look at these two cute KOLs’ videos!
An educational video has been produced to introduce the fundamental green building concepts to teachers. Through the online teaching material, teachers will be able to understand how green buildings can mitigate climate change and what measures should be taken to support the sustainable built environment. Teachers are encouraged to utilise the video presentation and the eight interesting videos in the project to support students' learning on sustainability.

Online Green Building Tour
An online green building tour at CIC-Zero Carbon Park has been arranged. CIC-ZCP has achieved BEAM Plus Platinum rating and it is the first zero carbon building in Hong Kong. In the video, Mr Tony IP, a sustainable design architect, explains the design strategies and green features of CIC-ZCP and how zero carbon is achieved in its daily operation.
