BEAM Plus Interiors – Residential is the label for a greener home. It enables home owners, designers and builders to showcase the sustainability and quality of their fitted-out premises and to distinguish them from other flat units on the market.

Assessment Aspects of BEAM Plus Interiors - Residential

 Integrated Design and Construction Management (IDCM) |
IDCM focuses on the integration between design and operation, integrated design between design team members and the client, and integration throughout the development process from design to construction. |
 Materials and Waste Aspects (MW) |
MW focuses on the minimisation of materials consumption and waste generation. |
 Energy Use (EU) |
EU focuses on the reduction of energy consumption during occupancy. It is energy performance based and it seeks to encourage quality passive design. |
 Water Use (WU) |
WU focuses on the reduction of water consumption and discharge management. |
 Health and Wellbeing (HWB) |
HWB focuses on the human development and environmental quality. It is designed to expand the scope of previous indoor environmental quality (IEQ) category and adopt human centric design elements. |
 Innovations and Additions (IA) |
IA focuses on promoting and rewarding true innovations. |
There are two ratings available for a project after completing the assessment:

When should I join the scheme?
Home owners are encouraged to take this green standard into account on Day One when they conceive their home fitting-out works. When you have finished the fitting-out works, you may submit your project for assessment. Depending on the fitting-out contract agreement, your interior designer or fitting-out contractor may also submit your project on your behalf. As for existing homes, or previously certified flats (but with certificates expired after 5 years), we also welcome them to participate in the assessment.
