Senior Executive – Green Labelling

Established in 2009, Hong Kong Green Building Council (“the Council”) is the leading body, co-founded by four major construction industry and environmental organisations, driving the market transformation towards green and sustainable buildings in Hong Kong through engagement with the industry, the government and broader community.

HKGBC is expanding its secretariat team in line with its positioning as Hong Kong's leading member-based body dedicated to green building development, with opening for the post of Senior Executive – Green Labelling:

Job Description

Key Roles:
  • Handle BEAM Plus promotion & certification matters
  • Maintain BEAM Practitioners database for accreditation matters
  • Assist in carrying out procurement, coordinating with external vendors for plaque production and promotional materials
  • Assist in compiling the contents of Green Labelling Department websites and prepare collaterals for various communications
  • Responsible for event logistics for CPD training, launching / certification ceremonies or other events related to green building
  • Compile regular reports for operations and analysis purposes
  • Provide secretarial support to task forces and Green Labelling Committee 
  • Maintain quality records and perform quality assurance tasks in accordance with ISO9001 requirements
  • Any other duties as assigned by the supervisors
Requirements: 
  • A good University degree in science or environment related field
  • At least 3 years of proven experience in related administrative functions; candidates with less experience will be considered as Excutive – Green Labelling
  • A Good command of English and Chinese
  • Be versatile and proactive, with a strong drive to learn new skills and a passion to work in the field of green building
  • BEAM Affiliate credential or equivalent would be an advantage
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, knowledge in design software such as Photoshop and Adobe Illustrator and website management would be an asset
  • Knowledge in HTML/WordPress CMS/CSS/Javascript is an advantage
  • Skills in video editing are preferable

Supporting the Head of Green Labelling to manage the ECF-funded project – Green Building Education and Capacity Building Programmes (ECF Project).

Key Roles:
  • To plan and implement the ECF Project activities, including:
    - Organise the launching ceremony, encompassing event management, advertorial placements, and social media advertising
    - Conduct promotional talks at tertiary education institutes
    - Produce career promotion videos
    - Develop green building foundation certificate course
    - Develop micro-credential topical short courses
    - Coordinate green building tours
  • To administer surveys to measure the effectiveness of the programmes
  • To compile reports for reporting progress to the ECF fund
Requirements: 
  • A good University degree in a relevant field
  • At least 4 years’ proven experience in organising similar activities; supervisory experience is preferred
  • Previous experience in video and graphic processing would be an advantage
  • Previous experience in ECF or similar environmental programmes would be an advantage
  • Outreaching personality and good interpersonal skills
  • Good command of English and Chinese
