The Valais

The Valais by Sun Hung Kai Properties Limited and Maison Platinum Service Company Limited is one of the largest luxury townhouse developments in Kwu Tung Road, Sheung Shui. Environmental concepts were adopted at the design stage, emphasising the incorporation of environmentally friendly materials such as beech engineered flooring, recycled EPDM safety floor mats, and eco-friendly refrigerant. More than 10 awards and certificates have been earned in recent years, all given in recognition of the Valais’ green and environmental achievements.

The GBA 2021 Jury Panel praised the Valais’ facilities management team for achieving a “seamless integration of sustainable features with the existing design of the residential complex”. In the estate’s common areas, a holistic conservation scheme is implemented, including the installation of solar panels, collection of rainwater and recycling of decorations. The team also organises educational events and implements incentive schemes for recycling, which have been embraced by residents. These efforts are gracefully expressed in this year’s GBA theme of “Shaping Liveability”.
